R.M. of Roland - Public Notice
The By-law proposing to dissolve the Ward system for election
purposes has been defeated. The existing Ward system within
the Municipality will remain in effect. Elections for Ward Councillors and Reeve will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2010.
Roland Pumpkin Fair
All former citizens of Roland are cordigally invited to attend The Roland Pumpkin Fair which will be held October 2, 2010.
2010 Marks the 140th anniversary of the province of Manitoba. As well as the 20th anniversary of the Roland Pumpkin Fair. Many celebrations are being held throughout Manitoba in 2010 and former residents are encouraged to participate in the celebration. For those are have never experienced The giant
pumpkin weigh-off, this would be an excellent opportunity to
see what your former community has to offer and renew old friendships.
Winter Parking Ban Villages of Roland and Myrtle
Parking on public streets and boulevards is prohibited during and after snowfall events which will require snow clearing operations - parked vehicles cause snow accumulation and hinder it’s removal. Vehicles parked on streets and lanes during snow removal will be towed at the owner’s expense.Residents should be utilizing their own property for parking vehicles. Please DO NOT push driveway snow onto roadways or into drainage ditches.Your cooperation in facilitating snow removal is greatly appreciated.
